REFRESH is a transmedia project and soon to be full-length film that presents the adventures of Sylvia, a young woman who is struggling to find her place in the world of social media. On the interactive website, the audience can connect with and respond to Sylvia and track her experiences through weekly video content. The goal of the website is to study and analyze how social media is impacting our relationships, as well as our perception of ourselves and others around us. Based on how many times a viewer refreshes their browser to view new footage, I explore the compulsive tendencies of the audience, how much that relates to the behavior of the story's character, and what that says about our addictive relationship with social media. Sylvia is also on Twitter and Tumblr. The film is in the works.
